2008 Rundown

2008 rundown

January 18 - Tim's birthday
February 13 - Travis and Joe's' birthdays
March 6 - Jackson's birthday
April 26 - Megan and Hayden's birthdays
October 11 - My unbirthday

This year I began running again in January. It was a thrill to get out and exercise again! I truly love running and the way I feel after I have run.

I worked quick and hard for my first 5K again and then a couple 10K's with our Paralegal, Becky. We are both planning a 1/2 marathon in April, 2009. However, I want to run more marathons too and complete some triathlons in 2009.

The marathon was 1/1/09 in Kingwood, Texas.

Tim opened a second office in 2007 and I began working full time again in 2008 so that he could keep that office open more. It has seemed to work well for us. He loves any courtroom and still hates the office, so we try to keep him in the courtroom as much as possible.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary a little early (in July) and went to France. We were able to tour northern France, Paris and southern France. We were able to go to some of his mission areas and also go to San Tropet. The country was gorgeous! We thoroughly enjoyed the sight-seeing and traveling with our French friends, the Blanchards. It was truly an amazing experience and one that won't be forgotten. I wish we could have taken the kids.

Travis decided to run cross country this year for the first time and did pretty well. He has tennis and track next. He told me today that he wants to do a 1/2 marathon with me one day, so we will begin some training tomorrow. He plays the trombone (like father-like son). He is growing into a strong young leader and is such a great help to me. He will be 14 in February! WOW!!!

Megan is growing up into a beautiful young lady and loves the drums to rock band and also plays the alto saxophone. She is a great leader to her friends and we are very proud of her hard work at school. She is extremely organized and a good sister to her brothers. She will be 13 in April! YIKES!!!

Hayden is into games, games, games! He is fun, sensitive, messy and all boy! He loves sports and got to play soccer while his dad coached the team this year and their team won the championship! For Christmas, he wrote a 2 1/2 page letter to Santa expressing his wishes. He is a dreamer and a great leader as well. Some days, I wish one of them were the follower. ;) He will be 9 in April!!! OH MY!!!!

Jackson is 2 and lively and potty trained. He loves his family and loves cars, books, cartoons - especially Diego and girls. He is a ham and loves to sing and talk loudly! I think he gets this from me. He is the boss around here and isn't afraid to tell us what and when to do something for him. He will be 3 in March! WOW time flies!!!

Joe is nearly 76 and broke her shoulder this year. She is giving, loving and kind. She loves animals and Jack the most. ;) She has had a tough 4 or 5 years now living with us and being completely dependent on us for just about everything. She is a hoot and our company always loves her outlook on life. Her strong will and stubbornness is what causes her accidents, but also helps her live through them.

We have had a lot of visitors this year come and stay at the bunkhouse. We were blessed to have Heidi for a short while and then we had friends and family come and stay and Thanksgiving was one of the highlights of our year!

We wish you all a successful and prosperous New Year!!!
